My preference for hydration and electolyte replenishment everytime is a homemade “mineral mocktail” with fresh ingredients coconut water, lime, fresh squeezed juices, etc. But not everyone has time! Here are my favorite electrolyte drinks, ready to mix and go. These are great for travel and everyday use.
Liquid IV sugar free version – sweetened with allulose which some have called “nature’s ozempic” (it is a naturally occuring fiber that tastes slightly less sweet than table sugar, adds some sweetness to your beverage and feeds your beneficial bacteria all in one swoop!) This is good for anyone except if you are dealing with delayed gastic emptying, like in gastroperesis.
Liquid IV comes in so many yummy flavors, it is hard to decide which to choose. Cheapest price is at Costco when it is on sale (several times per year).
IQ Mix is pretty similar to Liquid IV in terms of taste and they make several delicious flavors. It the same amount of sodium (500 mg) as Liquid IV which is good, but contains a bit more potassium which makes it a nutritionally superior product in my opinion. Cheapest place to buy is through the Costco Next website (membership required).
Metagenics Endura electrolyte powder – very good one. I usually buy through Fullscript at a discount. Ask me for access to my Fullscript store.
