Holistic Nutrition: know your body, feel your best

About

Syrah McGivern, MS RD

A life long learner and nature lover, I have always been interested in helping people; food; and how our environment affects our health. I have worked as a researcher at Seafood Watch at the Montery Bay Aquarium, with families at a WIC office in Boston, at the Board of Health in Medford, Massachusetts helping make the community a healthier place to live, work and play.

“I had a wonderful first session with Syrah! I feel like she really listened, and gave me great information and shared some of her wealth of knowledge to give me a great start! She took time to hear my concerns and helped me to understand what might be happening in my body based on my symptoms. She is wonderful and I can’t wait for our next session!” – Nourish client

I learn the most about healing the body through my own experiences. Through personal and professional experiences I have focused most on what would be considered gut and mental health issues. Some diagnoses I am intimately familiar with include ADHD, anxiety, irritable Bowel syndrome, hypothyroidism, colitis, mold toxicity (CIRS), anemia, and diabetes.

I truly understand the impact of chronic symptoms on your life and your family.

I am a voracious reader and researcher and I pride myself on being on the cutting edge. I love to try new things including the latest trends in foods and technology!
